We went to Hatta yesterday to visit the Hatta Fort Hotel (for lunch and some Archery), and to go to the observatory overlooking the wadi and mountains. Hatta is part of Dubai, but you have to cross the Oman border (since part of the omani land is in between Hatta and the rest of Dubai). The sun was literally burning - most probably because the air is free of pollution and clearer than in the city!

Souk Khan Murjan
The other day, we went to the WAFI centre and visited the "Khan Murjan" market, a traditional arabian arts and crafts souk in dubai ... it was like walking through through the streets of old arabian markets - I loved it!
We also had breakfast at Paul... I ordered the Parisian breakfast which comes with a hot beverage (hot chocolate!), a choice from their croissants and pains, and 2 long slices of baguette bread with apricot jam, strawberry jam, and butter... yummy

Back in Dubai
I'm back in Dubai for a while now, so I should have time to get back to posting! The day after we arrived, we went to have breakfast/brunch at 'Zaatar w Zeit' which offers a variety of lebanese breakfast dishes, and 'mana'eesh' (a lebanese wrap of cheese or zaatar)... it was so yummy!
I have also been doing a new exercise program called "Zumba"... it's a latin-dance inspired fitness program, and it's much more interesting than going to the gym everyday and working out on the treadmill or eliptical machine. It was created by Alberto Perez, an aerobics instructor in Colombia, when he forgot his aerobics tape one day and had to use a music tape he had in his car, for the exercise class. Zumba is much more fun and effective than going to the gym, and can burn around 500 calories per hour - depending on how hard you work!
